Yes and no. Many places along the Corridor will accept US Dollars however, may not provide you a favorable exchange rate. Canadian dollars are rarely accepted unless at a major resort or higher-end restaurant or merchant. There are banks all around Cabo but we would advise you to make a currency exchange before you come or at the airport. Having some lower denomination US Dollars is also good and great for tips with the locals. As of August 2015 the exchange rate nears 16.5% on the US Dollar giving you a major advantage for your dollar against the peso. Many merchants, restaurants and activities do accept major credit cards with more and more each day accepting American Express. Don't forget to check with your card before comign about exchange rates and foregin transaction fees - those can hurt when you get your bill back home. (American Express platinum waves all of these fees!)
